2026 TRACK ASSESSMENTS

We will be reaching out to tracks in the coming weeks to organise your biennial track grading and assessments. The Western Australian Speedway Commission is supported by the WA Government to undertake these assessments as part of the WASC Safety Governance Framework, and there is no cost to clubs for this service.

Track assessments are an important tool in ensuring the safety of speedway for drivers, officials and spectators across the state. With a sport dedicated to sending cars around a clay track at speeds of up to 200 km/h or more with millimetres between car and wall, it’s important that track infrastructure supports this level of high-octane racing.

The Commission will work with tracks to identify improvements, preventative maintenance, and replacement schedules, as well as provide support to source funding for works through government and private partnerships.

Comprehensive track assessment reports are a useful tool to bolster applications for funding, showing potential investors exactly where and why money will be spent on keeping these important community assets safe, commercially viable and fun for years to come.

If you’re already looking at funding for track upgrades and would like to bring forward your assessment as further leverage for your application, please reach out to adminassistant@waspeedway.com.au to schedule an appointment.
